A Wedding in Bloom

GM

Jeremy McDonald (he/him)

Did you know it is a scientifically proven fact that you cannot have a meeting with Jeremy without an inquiry into your passions for TTRPGs. He would tell you that TTRPGs are the 6th level on the Hierarchy of Needs. As a player for 14 years and a GM for 13 TTRPGs, he is well versed in a variety of systems and would love to offer his experience to the Opal Grove community.

He has run both private and professional games, from home to conventions, with players ranging from 7 to 70. He is committed to ensuring every player has the best time at his table he can. Games will be balanced with players in mind after a session 0 discussion. Whether a combat heavy gauntlet, a cloud of mysteries, or impassioned roleplay, he is willing and ready to tailor the game to fit the kind of game you are interested in playing.

Gameplay

This campaign will rely on the base D&D 5e (2024) ruleset.

Summary

This is an adventure made to evoke the Regency Era in its setting and characters. You will be guests at a wedding that has the eyes of the world on it. A Wedding in Bloom takes place in disputed territory 20 years after a war that ended with a tense peace. You will have the opportunity to find love for yourself, maybe even rise above your station, assuming you can unravel the mystery that envelops the event.

Character Creation

We will be creating characters as a table. For those who like to plan ahead, I would say all official WOTC release classes and subclasses are allowed. Most races outside those introduced in Spelljammer are allowed. Background will be restricted to those that fit the setting and can be discussed during character creation.

Safety Tools

During session 0, your GM will introduce the concept of lines and veils and set aside time to establish those as a table. X cards will also be present for in-session boundary setting.
